When I was a kid, my dad used to tell me, 

“You are the luckiest person in the world if you can make a living at what you love to do.” 

That’s me. 

More than a decade ago, I was working away in corporate America when I bought an old house in midtown Tulsa. It was a great house, but it needed some updates. I made a plan and hired a remodeling contractor, unaware that I was overlooking something essential: the closets. This mistake led to years of frustration with my home’s inefficient, insufficient storage space. 

Back to that remodel—the contractor persuaded me to enroll in interior design school. I was reluctant; I had a good job, a college degree and plenty of business experience. But I went anyway. I learned a lot. After I graduated, I worked on a variety of residential projects. The closets turned out to be the most fun. 

Closets of Tulsa allows me to personalize closets to clients’ individual needs and tastes. I watch the transformation from cluttered, dusty, unorganized disasters to amazing spaces.
